Last night I was photographing for the Philharmonie of Luxembourg a rather unclassifiable show named Black Mirror, by Alexander Schubert.
As part of "Into the Wild" festival, it literally took us into a wild mix of darkness, powerful lighting and sounds which took place in the surreal landscape of an abandoned hotel and its depleted grounds outside Luxembourg city.
Rather than a concert this was more like a surreal adventure into the heart of darkness and pyschological moods created and enhanced by thunderstorm sounds and stroboscopic effects.
The fact that the show was not recommended for epileptics, people afraid of the dark or not very alert says a lot about its nature.
I truly enjoyed it despite its surreal character and as a photographer I had great fun also despite the very tough lighting my cameras and I faced.
